just wanted to say a huge thank you to the above fire stations who all attended the fire last night here at the pub.

You were brilliant and also really genuinely kind and very caring.

loved the lady who tried to go up to get my cat Bella, she is fine by the way (acting as if nothing happened!!!) and loved the guys who found and brought down my phone, then my glasses and then my trainers as my slippers were soaked and my feet were freezing.

You didn't just put out a fire, you really looked after someone who was in comlete shock and distress and panicked. you were totally compassionate. and I thank each and every one of you from my heart.

Sadly there was a rather bad fire upstairs at the pub in the early hours of this morning.

Luckily we got out ok but it’s been a long night and we’ve had no electricity until just now

So, we will not be able to serve lunch today.

Hopefully, we’ll be open at 4pm for early doors as fortunately the pub downstairs only suffered some water ingress from the hoses

Our phone line is still down though

Many thanks to Anne & George and Maggie for being there for me at 3am when I was running around shouting help as I’d lost my phone in the fire

Thanks to for those who’ve messaged and called in to check on me and offer help, much appreciated

I got the Dogs and Cat out too safely thank god

And to Zoe, who’s Been here since 8 sorting out the pub to make it nice for later xx
