Earlier this year, MISSEDABEAT was delighted to be invited to The Turbinia, where we met with the Newcastle Supporters Club and the pub's landlord, Gary.
During the evening, the Newcastle Supporters Club presented MISSEDABEAT with a generous donation, while a collection during the bingo raised even more funds thanks to the amazing support from everyone who attended.
That evening also marked the beginning of an exciting new project. Together with Gary, we agreed to work towards installing a 24/7 community-accessible defibrillator outside The Turbinia, complete with a Bleed Control Kit, helping to protect not only customers but the wider community too.
Today, I was delighted to return after Gary contacted us to make another generous donation of £145 towards the project.
Every donation brings us one step closer to making this lifesaving equipment available to everyone who may need it. We're hopeful that within the next one to two months, the defibrillator and Bleed Control Kit will be installed and ready for use.
