We’re Hiring – Senior Chef

Location: Art Bar Funkel

About the Role:

Art Bar Funkel is a family-run bistro and outside catering business, renowned for our unique “food for sharing” concept. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Chef to join our professional team and play a key role in developing our kitchen and menu offering.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ambitious, creative, and eager to grow within an established and supportive business.

Key Responsibilities

* Create innovative and high-quality dishes that deliver exceptional dining experiences.
* Design and develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
* Manage kitchen operations, including ordering and stock control.
* Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
* Support and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.

Skills & Experience

* Minimum 4 years’ experience working as a chef.
* A genuine passion for food and creativity in the kitchen.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure as part of a team.
* A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the continued success of the business.

* 40-hour working week

We are now recruiting for the following Position

TITLE: Senior Chef

About the role: Art Bar Funkel is a family run bistro and outside catering business. Well known for its “food for sharing concept”. We are looking for a chef to join our professional staff and to develop and grow within the role. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Provide innovative and delicious food experiences
Design new menus / specials
Orders and Kitchen Management

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience as a chef ( 4 years minimum)
Ambitious with a passion for food
Great organisational skills

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

40 hour working week

Flexible shifts (no splits)
Opportunity for promotion
Competitive salary
Staff meals
Job security within an established business

Many Thanks to NEWRY BID (Business Improvement District) for choosing us in the Food Tour ❤️ This afternoon we had 18 guests for an Italian inspired tasting dish.

Our one and only tasting dish this tour was Fried Scamorza Cheese, on a Garlic Ciabatta Croute, with Tomato - Pesto Salsa and Balsamic Reduction

Our guests had a selection of 4 different drinks:
• Aperol spritz🍹
• Montepulciano d’Abruzzo🍷
• Peroni Nastro Azzuri🍺
• Birra Moretti 🍺

It was a pleasure hosting everybody and can’t wait to be apart of another tour 😁
