Members of Beautiful Warrenpoint group were delighted to participate in the first session of the Peace Plus Transformation and Reimaging Project this week, along with representatives from other Warrenpoint community groups.

We are looking forward to coming up with some positive reimaging ideas for Warrenpoint. Our budget is £7,000 hopefully we can use it towards making more positive changes to our beautiful town!

CURRACH CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE COMING TO WARRENPOINT! 🌊
The 21st Irish International Currach Championships get underway this weekend, with the Carlingford Lough Currach Club - CLCC welcoming crews to the Warrenpoint seafront.

Following their recent feature on BBC’s The One Show, we’re excited to see this unique Irish tradition take centre stage once again.

From the free ‘Try It Out’ sessions on Thursday to a full weekend of racing, music, food and plenty of atmosphere from Friday through Sunday... there’s lots happening on the lough and along the seafront.

As another wonderful Warrenpoint Loughside Festival comes to a close, we just want to say thank you to every single volunteer who gave their time, energy and enthusiasm to help make the past week such a success.

So much work goes on behind the scenes to coordinate a week like this, and it has been fantastic to see Warrenpoint so busy, vibrant and full of life. From the incredible entertainment and events to the wonderful crowds who came out to support them, the whole week has showcased the very best of our town.

But more than anything, it has showcased something we should never take for granted …the community spirit of Warrenpoint. ❤️
