Our Savoury Cream Teas have been exceptionally popular this week. A delicious homemade (very cheesy!) cheese scone, Boddington's Preserves Apple Chutney and Philadelphia cream cheese. If you haven’t tried one yet, now’s the perfect season!

Welcome to September in the Tea Room- and thank you to everyone who visited us during August. We know there were lots of you as we served just shy of 1,000 pots of tea, in a month when for many days it was so hot we sold very few hot drinks!

It was so hot that I was sometimes wary of serving our Lemon and Chocolate cakes for fear they would collapse in the extreme heat, so now it’s cooled down, both are on the counter for you to enjoy today.

We’re open 10 till 4:30pm. Hope to welcome lots of you later.

Happy Bank Holiday Monday! We’re open from 10 till 4 today for light breakfasts and lunches and of course lots of lovely cakes and bakes. Scones going in the oven shortly so why not pop down for an end of summer treat?
