A little quiet on here lately. A little less quiet in the restaurant.

Summer has well and truly arrived at Counter Culture, and it’s been brilliant to see so many of you coming through the doors.

There’s been plenty going on behind the scenes too. New dishes, brilliant events, familiar faces, plenty of new ones and some very busy services.

So, social media may have taken a bit of a back seat. But we’re still here, still cooking, and very grateful for such a busy summer.

We’ll catch you up properly soon.

We’re incredibly proud to have been named one of The Good Food Guide’s 100 Best Local Restaurants in Britain, coming in at No. 12 for 2026.

Last year, we were honoured to be recognised as the Best Local Restaurant in the South West. To now be included alongside so many brilliant restaurants across the country is something we’re hugely grateful for.

Awards like this don’t happen because of one person. They happen because of an incredible team who care deeply about what they do, suppliers who continue to inspire us with the produce they grow and rear, and every single person who chooses to spend an evening with us.

To everyone who’s walked through our door, recommended us to a friend, celebrated with us, or simply kept coming back. Thank you.

And to our team… this is yours.

A few moments from Saturday…

We left a handful of disposable cameras around the restaurant and, thankfully, they came back full.

Some are blurry. Some are questionable. Most of them perfectly sum up the night.

Thank you to everyone who came along, filled the terrace, embraced the chaos and made it such a brilliant evening.
