Thank you for patiently waiting for us to reopen. We wouldn't ordinarily close at such short notice but family really does come first and being a family run business we had no choice but to close to care for close family and its meant the world to us to be able to do this. 🙏

As local residents we are always saddened and our hearts sink when we hear the sirens and helicopters out along the sea. We hold our breaths in the hope its a false alarm and the people they are looking for are safe. We are incredibly saddened to hear the devastating loss to a visiting family this morning. You can never be too safe near the ocean, we too have suffered the loss of a very special person a few years ago to the sea 😪 and know how quickly conditions can change. Please share this vital information to help create more awareness of how quickly things can happen. We are so very sorry for the family at this devastating time.

In light of more heartbreaking losses at sea, we’re sharing this again.

Our thoughts are with every family, friend and community carrying the unimaginable weight of losing someone they love. There are no words that make that kind of loss easier.

We know so many of you live by the coast, visit the coast, or spend your holidays beside it. The sea is one of the most incredible places on earth. It gives us joy, freedom, adventure and memories that stay with us forever. But it is also powerful, unpredictable and completely unforgiving.

Please know your limits. Check the conditions. Swim between the red and yellow flags during lifeguarded hours. Never go alone, never enter the water after drinking, and never assume calm-looking water is safe. Learn how to recognise rips and currents before you need that knowledge.

We also want to say a heartfelt thank you to our RNLI lifeboat crews, HM Coastguard, surf lifesaving teams, paramedics, police, firefighters and all the volunteers who give their time, often putting themselves in danger, to protect others. Your courage, commitment and compassion never go unnoticed.

Take a moment to read this. Talk about it with your children, friends and family. Save it for your next trip to the coast, and please share it. One post cannot prevent every tragedy, but education, caution and respect for the sea can save lives.

Enjoy the ocean. Respect its power. Come home safely. 💙

Baked fresh in house every morning, you dont get fresher from the oven to the table. A great sandwich is about every element from the right bread to the right combination if flavours. Sweet, salty, crunchy, juicy. 🤤
