Some people do good deeds quietly, never expecting recognition. Today, I finally had the pleasure of properly thanking that person.
Steve D**e was the mystery man who stepped in and paid for the glass at Indian Cottage, helping us get everything sorted when we really needed it. He never asked for credit—he just wanted to help.
Today, Steve popped in, and just moments later my dad, Oscar, arrived too. It was lovely to see them meet for the first time, and we managed to grab a photo together. It’s a picture that means a lot to us.

Steve, your kindness, generosity and support will never be forgotten. You’re a genuine gentleman and proof that there are still incredible people in this world.

Worked all day in the blazing sun, then straight into the kitchen… I’ve officially unlocked prickly heat. 🤦‍♂️😂 Now I’m sat here covered in calamine lotion and pink powder looking like a strawberry doughnut. 🍓💨

I’m seriously thinking I need a day off… but do you reckon the boss will let me? 😅🌶️🔥

Everyone’s drinking ice water, sitting in front of fans and hiding in the shade…Meanwhile, I’m seriously considering cooking the hottest curry known to mankind and eating it at record speed just to sweat out every possible gram of body weight. 🤣🔥
At this point I’m not sure if it’s a meal or a survival strategy.

I’m heading into Indian Cottage shortly and, honestly, with this scorching weather I have no idea if anyone will be ordering curry tonight! 😅☀️🍛

That said, we’ll be here, the cookers will be on, and we’ll be ready if you fancy treating yourself.

Who still eats a hot curry when it’s roasting outside? 🔥
