A strange incident happened yesterday, Friday 28th August, and I’m posting this simply to keep a dated record in case we ever need to look back on it.
Shortly after my wife arrived at the shop, a man wearing all black with rucksack on walked in while she was taking a telephone order. Without speaking or making eye contact, he placed some white roses on the counter and immediately walked back out. There was no card, message or explanation.
It may have been a completely innocent gesture, and we don’t want to make assumptions. However, we found it unusual and aren’t sure who the flowers were intended for or what they meant.
If you were the person who left them,or if anyone knows anything about them,please send us a private message or give the shop a call to put our minds at ease. We have made a note of the time and kept the relevant CCTV footage purely as a precaution.

Yesterday’s shift was eventful and honestly felt never-ending. In a busy kitchen, if just one person falls behind or doesn’t follow the system, it creates a backlog for everyone and that’s exactly what happened.After we closed at 11pm, I sent everyone home and stayed behind preparing for today. I didn’t get home until 1am. Then, waking up to a negative review this morning after putting in those hours really knocked me back.
But the work doesn’t stop. Once I’ve sorted my dogs and kennels and collected the stock, I’ll be back at the shop for around midday today even though we don’t open until 5pm.Give me call to speak with myself personally
Today, I’ll be preparing everything myself: the salads, mint sauce, poppadoms, curries, rice, counters and every other little detail needed for tonight’s service
I’m in full battle mode today. I just need to settle my mind, focus and make sure everything is ready. Running a business is never as simple as people may think, but I’ll keep giving it everything I have.

A sincere apology to anyone who ordered one of our hot dishes towards the end of service yesterday.
I realised that I had accidentally picked up our Kashmiri chilli powder instead of our extra hot chilli powder. Kashmiri chilli is much milder and smokier, so one or two dishes may not have had the heat you expected.
I’m only human, and during a very busy service mistakes can occasionally happen but I take full responsibility. If your dish wasn’t right, please call us directly on 01633 852724 and give us the opportunity to put it right.
Waking up to a one-star review with no explanation is genuinely distressing. It leaves my mind racing, wondering what went wrong, when I should be preparing myself for another busy day. Without details about the food or order, I have no way of investigating the problem or rectifying it.
As a recently reopened local business, reviews can have a huge impact. Please give us the chance to resolve any issue before leaving a damaging review. We care about every dish that leaves our kitchen and genuinely want every customer to be happy.
