Introducing Twpsyn & Marionette on 28th November!

Twpsyn are a four piece indie rock band from Wales mixing clean and snappy vintage surf tones with fuzz-laden bass riffs. They are known for occasionally using interesting instruments made out of reclaimed materials. Formed in South Wales in 2025, Twpsyn consists of George Parfitt, Owain Coombs, Liam Keane, and Isaac Underwood. After releasing their debut EP “Patiently Waiting” they have enjoyed their first year packed full of festivals and gigs throughout Wales & England. They are are currently recording their first full album at CWRW Studios  due for release early 2027. 

Four piece Cardiff Indie band with recent singles featured on BBC Radio Wales, combining a Blur-like British swagger with indie overtones reminiscent of The Strokes and Wedding Present.

Coming together to raise cash for the brilliant Newport and Gwent Samaritans, The Darling Buds, Burning Ferns and punk whippersnappers HAIRDYE will be shaking the fundraising tin at Le Pub on 12th December.

Comedy spa Bob Martin will be gabbing on between bands, and will be on auctioneering duties to help fill the pot for the Samaritans as much as possible - and there are some flipping ace prizes.

Newport and Gwent Samaritans is run separately completely by volunteers from the UK-wide Samaritans, so every single penny raised will go to supporting their vital work right here in Newport. Le Pub have kindly donated the space, and none of the bands is taking a fee, which means every single penny from ticket sales (minus the booking fee) will go directly to supporting people through the Newport and Gwent Samaritans office in Newport city centre.

Glasgow’s SLIME CITY are three Michaels playing fast, existentialist nerd rock for “people who like both sighing and fighting.” Formed from the radioactive remains of cult indie band We Are The Physics, they’ve built a reputation for whip-smart songs and chaotic live shows that are equal parts absurdist musings and laboratory rock riot.

The Metatrons are a delightfully fuzzy Riot-Pop band from Hertfordshire. After signing to Chapter 22 Records they released their “Deconstruction” album, which was a fantastic critical success, being called “The pinnacle of quality pop” and “a thunderous slice of pop majesty”

Rainyday Rainbow is a colourful, chaotic, and cartoonish multimedia project exploring a plethora
of genres with a zestiness of wonky attitude. From lush dreampop, low-fidelity barrage of doom,
to rambunctious garage rock, a whole spectrum of styles are laid before the table.
