An Announcement from New Ole .......
After a lot of thought, reflection, and emotion, we’ve made the difficult decision to close New Olé on 28th February 2026. This is not a decision driven by a lack of passion, but by life calling us to explore new and exciting professional challenges a path that fills us with enthusiasm, even though it means saying goodbye to this chapter, which has undoubtedly been the most rewarding of our lives.
For the past six years, this space has been so much more than a restaurant. It has been a meeting point, a place for celebrations, first dates, family gatherings, late-night conversations, laughter, tears, and unforgettable memories.
What began as a dream became a home because of you our customers, friends, and supporters.
Over the years, New Olé has been incredibly fortunate to receive awards and recognition at leading industry events, including the The Food Awards Wales and The Welsh Restaurant Awards, as well as consistently achieving top ratings on Tripadvisor and Google. Together, we achieved what once felt unthinkable: being recognised as Best Spanish Restaurant in Wales in 2023 & 2024, and crowning our journey by being awarded Best Mediterranean Restaurant Regional winner in 2024, not to forget our recent accomplishment of Recognition for Excellence in 2025. These achievements are not ours alone they belong to each of you who trusted us with your special dinners, family meals, and spontaneous toasts. Thanks to your unconditional support, we truly reached the very top.
We leave with our suitcases full of memories, familiar names, and moments we will never forget. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who walked through our doors, shared a meal, recommended us to friends, left kind words, celebrated milestones with us, and supported us through both joyful and challenging times.
While saying goodbye is never easy, we close the doors of New Olé with the satisfaction of a job well done, hearts overflowing with gratitude, and pride in what we’ve achieved together.
Until 28th February 2026, we would love nothing more than to welcome you back to raise a glass, share one more meal, and say goodbye properly.
