UPDATE – COUNTERFEIT NOTES

On busy days it can be difficult for our staff to check every note immediately, and sometimes the customer has already left by the time we realise a note is counterfeit.

Today we confronted a customer regarding a suspected counterfeit £10 note used to pay for an order last Tuesday and another suspected counterfeit £10 note used today.

When we compared the two £10 notes, the serial numbers matched.

After being confronted today, the customer paid for both Tuesday's meal and today's meal with genuine money.

We now have the customer's name and address and have passed the information to Gwent Police. The matter has been reported and we will leave it with the police to investigate and decide what action should be taken.

We would advise other local businesses to be extra careful when checking cash, particularly during busy periods.

⚠️ £200 CASH REWARD – PLEASE SHARE ⚠️

Last night in Duffryn, Heron Way, one of our Wavy Kebab drivers was ambushed by 5 males on e-bikes wearing face coverings.

The order was placed using the number 07340 880750 and a fake address on Heron Way.

When our driver arrived, the 5 males came from behind, surrounded him and asked if it was the food. Our driver resisted at first, but one of the males pulled out a knife, so the driver handed the food over.

Thankfully, our driver was unharmed.

£200 CASH REWARD for information that helps identify the people responsible.
