We are looking forward to marking our 30 years as 'The Stable Cafe and Community Space' this Autumn with a few special events.
Local author, Sarah Nicholson, will share her story, how she got into writing to help her come to terms with the sudden loss of her husband. https://www.sarahnicholsonwrites.com/ An engaging speaker you are sure to enjoy the afternoon.
The following week we have Rev Mark Wakelin speaking about his role in the Fellowship of Reconciliation which is an international organisation that commits to 'active nonviolence' as a way of life and considers how this could be possible in a world of wars and strife. Mark brings experience and fascinating insight that is good to listen to. Do hope you can join us.

The wonderful Peter Norman has curated a display of the Rookery from past and present, from his huge collection of historical photographs for us! This is on display in our entrance so please do come along and take a look.

You may have noticed our doors have been closed for a little while…

Well, we’ve had good reason! One of the rooms in the café has had a little glow-up ✨ with a brand-new floor creating a much fresher space.

And, as you can see, we may have had a few extra little helpers along the way! 👷‍♀️🛠️

Our children’s area has also had a few exciting new additions for our little visitors to enjoy. 🧸🎨

We’re so pleased to be back and ready to welcome you through the doors from 10am today.

Come and have a look at the new space – we can’t wait to see you!
