Dear People of Newent (and beyond)
I don't make this post lightly. It has taken me months to bring myself to say this, but I no longer have any alternative, having exhausted all avenues with the person I am about to describe and I want to warn others.
Many of you will know Linda Morris (who is now calling herself Linda Lamb), of Manna House coffee shop in Newent. For a while, Linda and I were in business together selling pizzas from Manna House.
She provided the Manna House premises and I kitted out a pizza kitchen within. She and I made a deal, whereby I supplied all of the kitchen equipment, ingredients, knowledge and did all of the cooking, and she supplied the takeaway desk/restaurant. The deal was that I would be entitled to 70% of the takings and Linda 30%. All of the takings for the pizza business went through Linda's till. Unfortunately, I never saw a penny. Linda took all of the money and left me out of pocket, to the tune of more than £6500.
I sued Linda and obtained legal judgment against her.
The judgment was made by the Court almost a year ago. Linda has completely ignored this judgment and has, at NO time, offered to make any form of payment to me, even in instalments. Further, she has ignored any attempt by me to agree a solution. I am (sadly) aware of others her bankruptcy and I wonder whether others would like to join me in doing so? The court fees are very expensive. Are there more of you who haven't been paid by Linda? | have already served a Statutory Demand on Linda, which is the preliminary step in bankruptcy proceedings.
I have made repeated efforts to resolve this directly with Linda but she will not engage with me in any way and I find I now have no other choice but to make her conduct public, so that more of you are not put at risk by offering services and products to Linda/Manna House, in case you suffer the same fate.
