Here at the hub we open 3 days a week. Because we are not a charity we pay rates.
What do we get for the pleasure?? Nothing!
We have no back entrance or anywhere we can put a bin.
So we use one bin on the street which is rarely filled down this end and one on downs road, again never used much.
We have a blocked drain outside the hub which apparently can't be sorted because there is no money!
The hub is run by 💯 volunteer. We work hard to provide a safe space for those that need it. We help hundreds of families a year.
Today like the other 2 days. These black bags were put into the bin. Someone has gone to the trouble of taking them out of the bin.
We are not littering, we are not trying to illegally dump stuff. We have been told we could be fined.
Seriously who would be so disgustingly petty to target us. Allegedly someone took them to the dump in castlewellan which in my view is also illegal dumping as that waste is commercial.
Why is the world against everyone. We would happily feed the workers a breakfast or a drink any time.
We have no outdoor swimming, no public football pitches, private clubs etc. I wish people would put more effort into our youth than putting their hand in a bin and taking our two bags of rubbish.
Any other local businesses face these problems.
I am really upset someone can't see the bigger picture here!
