IT’S MY BIRTHDAY so I made a Harry Potter cake for the family coming over! I enjoyed every minute!

Diagon Alley in cake form!

Luckily the window of Weasley Wizard Weezes is supposed to be higgledy piggledy as that was hard work! For the glass itself I used the outside of a clear cake box and covered with sugar paste. What a sticky mess but worth it!
even made the Weasley body behind the window not that you could see it, but I knew it was there!

LED flashing balloon lights and shimmery edible paint were a must, after all it is a magical cake!

Everything is edible (apart from the LED lights). Handmade THE SUGAR PASTE™ pumpkins, plus cake design detains and printed edible images!

Do you recognise the little girl in the Mystery Machine?

Well she’s the 4 year old birthday who is Scooby-Doo obsessed!

By adding a cartoon image of the birthday girl to the rest of the gang plus her name and age on the number plate and spare wheel, I’ve managed to personalise this cake making sure the birthday girl is centre stage at all times 🛞

LED lights were placed in some of the pumpkins and in the headlights which will look awesome when the big light is off and the candles are lit!

Chocolate cake, hot chocolate buttercream, sugar paste and Oreos make this an absolute sweet treat!

It’s the little things which make a big difference!

Normal lollipop sticks would be absolutely fine BUT when the cake is colourful and fun I think it was the right decision to colour the sticks with edible dusts.
