That’s A Wrap Folks (sandwich based puns always 😅)
As of Friday 18th of August we will be closing our doors at our beautiful Bait 💙.
We’ve been battling an uphill struggle for quite some time now, and as much as I hoped this would be something I’d be able to overcome: rising food costs, increased utilities, the irregular schedule of hybrid/remote working and staffing shortages have all cumulated in making this incredibly hard, but necessary decision (sadly a combination which seems to be hitting a lot of independent businesses at the moment) Alongside all of this, suddenly losing my fabulous Mum 🤍🤍🤍 earlier this year, who was so integral to Bait’s character and charm has meant there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes which I’ve had to deal with and being self employed/running a business has been incomprehensibly tough throughout all of this.
BUT, nonetheless. It’s been an absolutely fantastic rollercoaster of a ride ❤️. Thank you to every single person who’s been a part of our story, I’ve met so many fantastic people along the way and it’s been such a privilege to be part of your stories, even if it has been in a very minute way. I’ve got stories to tell, and anecdotes to recount for the rest of my life and this mad venture has been a real life-shaping lesson.
Starting Bait at 22 I didn’t have a clue ….😂 and I was amazed we even made it to our first year. Nine years on (wow I’m old now 🫣) and I’m so proud of all we have achieved.
We are going to be doing what we do best for the rest of the week 🫶🏼 - boshing out banging Bait 💪🏻🥪🥙🥗☕️, but please pop in and say hi (or goodbye 🥲) if you’re walking past 😊.
Thank you
