Welcome to the whole new Cafebar One - Same great food, same great coffee, same great staff! Bought by Jo and Gez almost 20 years ago, Cafebar One was, and still is, a much loved café amongst the community with fantastic long term loyal customers. Fast forward to 2022 and we have big plans...

We are looking for someone to join our front of house team 🙂 You must be:

☕️ Barista trained - be fully up and running from day one, making good quality coffees with latte art… at speed! (Think long lines of drinks checks on a busy Saturday morning, filled with every variety of drink possible 🧋☕️🍹)

☕️ Have enough experience and confidence to, at times, work as the sole front of house person, giving great customer service in a busy environment. (Think running around like a maniac taking orders, making great drinks, taking out food and taking payment - whilst also smiling, chatting to regulars and telling people how cute their dogs are 😁)

☕️ MUST availability to work some weekday shifts (daytime), as well as full weekend availability. Part time hours - 2 to 3 shifts per week.

☕️ Be passionate about working for a small independent business within a great community packed with regulars. We need our staff to care about our little corner of Jesmond as much as we do 🥰

Good tips, free food and drinks and awesome people to work with - what’s not to love! 😁

Well, Chicken & Waffles escalated quickly. 😂

Whenever we put a new dish on the menu, there’s always that little moment of we think it’s good… but will anyone actually order it?

Apparently, YES.

On Friday we thought we’d stocked up and prepped enough chicken to see us through the whole weekend and into Monday.

You’d eaten the lot by Saturday afternoon 😂

It’s officially the fastest selling new dish we’ve ever launched - oh and plot twist - our fastest selling new dish ever is gluten free. Well we didn’t see that one coming 😂

We urgently need to talk about Pumpkin Spice…🎃

Two days into September and customers are already asking when our traditional Pumpkin Spice latte is making a return 🎃

Slight problem…

While planning our autumn drinks menu at the weekend, we’d pretty much decided to retire it 😬 We thought the world had finally had enough of Pumpkin Spice and moved on to newer, shinier things.

Apparently….we may have got this wrong 🤦‍♀️

Have we been too hasty? Is Pumpkin Spice still an autumn essential or has it had its day?

Tell us honestly… its appearance on our Autumn drinks line up may depend on it! 🎃

The party host was coeliac and really wanted gluten free catering where she could eat the whole buffet without worrying……and she got her wish 😁

They created their own playlist and even bought personalised b**r mats with the party girl’s photo on!

We love doing these intimate, personalised parties. Perfect for birthdays, hen parties, work Christmas parties, engagement parties or just a big family gathering.
