WE’RE TURNING THE PRICES BACK TO 2000!

To celebrate our birthday next month, we dug out our menu from the year 2000 and spotted something: so many of the dishes we served then are still on our menu today.

They’ve stood the test of time. So, for two weeks, we’re giving them their 2000 prices back.

Butter Chicken £8.95.
Rogan Josh £6.50.
Sachins Daal £4.95.
Naan £1.95.

Yes, really.

If these walls could talk… ❤️

It’s our birthday next month, so we’ve been doing a little digging into the history of the building we’ve called home for all these years.

Long before Sachins, this Newcastle landmark had quite the life of its own - from The Hawthorn Inn to the New Orleans Jazz Club in the 1960s, which hosted live jazz 365 days a year! 🎷

And there are some pretty famous names in its story. A young Sting played bass here, Eric Burdon of The Animals sang here in his early days, and a schoolboy Bryan Ferry was among the audience - later recalling watching Burdon perform at the club.

A lot has changed over the years. The building, however, is pretty unmistakable.

And for the last 43 years, it’s been home to Sachins. ❤️
