Finally, after many years of humming and hahing, we are getting closer to the original plan of delivering breakfast, lunch, snacks and coffee at one Benton terrace. Two Fifths is about to raise its cheeky little head on OUR corner of Newcastles Collingwood Street.. Offering exciting Modern British food in incredible surroundings, we can offer private dining, corporate hire, a brilliant bar and restaurant area, a pavement cafe and interesting ways to spend your evenings and afternoons you probably hadn't even thought of..honest.. We dont intend to reinvent the wheel, but can guarantee it shall have sparklier spokes.. Cocktails, wines, beers, coffees, infusions, tunes and conversations, plus many other things ending in s. Hire part of us or all of us.. Two Fifths. February..

THIS WEEK ON THE TERRACE ⛩️

Tuesday - After a heavy bank hol weekend we will be CLOSED on Tuesdays for the forseeable!

- Our garage crew is continuing their residency on a Wednesday from now on! Same bumpy tunes, different night.
ncl - The boys are back this Thursday to bring the electro funk to the terrace to keep you grooving all night.

& - Casa are kicking off friday night with their pre party, then joe is taking the reins from 11 till late to start the weekend right.
selecta - Saturday night jp will be providing us with all the best sounds with an all night long set, not one to miss!

- After a successful bank hol sunday last weekend, 909 are back again to continue their long lasting streak!

As if from nowhere, the work starts soon on 1 Benton terrace. Some businesses remain, Saints Hair, Psychotherapy being 2, but we are finally opening a breakfast/lunch/coffee/snackysnack venue that I’ve threatened to do for years!
Having had great success with ‘Universal Exports’ On Collingwood street many years ago.. 18 actually terrifyingly.. we became the first supplier of sushi to the Newcastle public made on site by Japanese colleagues, that shall always one of my proudest moments… then of course the critically acclaimed Two Fifths restaurant about 13 years ago, getting a genuine unreal 4x5 star review in TheChron, it would be fair to say we know how to feed someone..
so with similar aplomb and creative flair, we are going down the food route again.. it goes without saying I shall do what I can to make it an interesting experience, in the terms of flavour, flair and value. And smiles..
I’ll put bits and pieces on here over the next few weeks, but suffice to say there shall be no interruption to the flow of the businesses in here, and as little disruption to you using our fantastic environment as possible..
