Well, it’s come to this - after 45 years Don Vito’s is no more.
The impact of COVID-19 has been massive for the whole planet and nobody has been immune, least of all us. Being closed for the best part of a year, multiple lockdowns, industry-wide staff shortages, spiralling product costs & supply issues, an epidemic of customer no-shows on bookings, lack of government support… the list goes on.
Put it all together and it’s too much for our little business to take, which means next week will be our last before we close our doors for good. Your custom and support over the years has always been amazing and we’ve genuinely loved serving you all - you’ll all be missed.
We’ve put together a small selection of some of our favourite photos from recent years, saving the best for last - that time Andreas went to the papers because he was absolutely stunned… STUNNED… that if you park on double yellow lines twice, you get fined twice 😂 you might never see a better “compensation face” as long as you live!
If you can make it down to the restaurant in the next few days, please do - it would be great to say goodbye in person.
