It finally happened and the wait's over.
Today at 8am on the 2nd of February we opened our doors to DC's Diner.
Situated just off scotswood Road, @ Downcast Base HQ Music studio.
We couldn't be happier with how today went, serving up some great breakfast baps, deli-style sandwiches, drinks and snacks.
Fantastic to meet so many of the local business's and students. It's took months of renovating to get the build sorted, faced with a tiny budget, using majority of recycled materials such as the wood and steel from from Base Hq & Downcast Gateshead. I've managed to get this place looking exactly how I had imagined.
HuGE shout outs to Aaron and Marie @ Reclaimed Earth fir the wood panelling and double doors.
Kris @ C & M contracting. (Electrics) Davey @ PGE Contracting (plumbing) and David Allison @ Label Me this for our class drum menu's. Oana for flyers and loyalty cards. Mark and Ken for the help running both rehearsal studios and finally to welcome the Dc's Diner Team. Liam Oakey the new manager @ DC's Diner who is always happy to take your order and a good old chat, chuffed to bits to have you fully onboard 🤘 and myself - Phil Davies (owner / chef ).
