🥂🚣 Paddle & Prosecco! 🚣🥂

Last week we hosted our very first Paddle & Prosecco session, and the feedback couldn't have been more positive!

If you're looking for the perfect way to spend a summer's evening, this is it! We have a few spaces left for this week. Paddle down the river before relaxing with a delicious grazing board supper and a glass of prosecco.

Whether you're new to paddlesports or experienced on the water, our evening sessions for over 18s are the perfect opportunity to unwind, meet new people and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Come with friends, colleagues or even on your own – everyone is welcome!

Looking for the perfect riverside pit stop on your walk? Bring your four-legged friend and come and relax in our spacious café by the river.

This week, our regular visitor Lucky the Golden Retriever stopped by with his dad, and even brought along a furry friend! 🐶🐶 After their sunny morning walk, they enjoyed a well-deserved cold milk treat before heading off on their next adventure.

We love welcoming all our canine customers, so if you're out exploring the riverside, be sure to pop in for a drink, a bite to eat, and a little treat for your pup too. We can't wait to see you! 💙🐾

Introducing our brand-new Paddle & Prosecco nights at the Waterside Centre – a chance to get out on the water, unwind with great food and drink, and enjoy good company in a beautiful riverside setting.

Paddle your way along the River Kennet with one of our guided sessions before heading back to the Waterside Centre & Café to tuck into a delicious summer grazing board and a glass of prosecco (or a soft drink alternative).

Whether you're planning an after-work get-together, looking for a unique date night, catching up with friends, hoping to meet new people, or simply fancy an evening for yourself, Paddle & Prosecco is the perfect way to make the most of summer.

☀️ With temperatures set to remain extremely high over the next few days, we'd like to remind our community that the Waterside Centre Newbury is here for everyone.

If you need somewhere cool, safe and welcoming to escape the heat, please feel free to come in, take a seat and cool down. There is absolutely no obligation to buy anything.

Our Community Café is open and offers a comfortable space to relax, enjoy the riverside views and access free drinking water. If you need a break from the heat, you're welcome to use our air-conditioned Gallery Room upstairs, whether you're meeting friends, reading a book, working remotely or simply taking a moment to cool off.

We know that not everyone has access to a comfortable, cool environment at home, and as a community charity we want to do what we can to support local people during this hot weather.

Please help us spread the word, especially to older neighbours, vulnerable residents, families and anyone who may benefit from a cool place to sit and recharge.

There's no better place to enjoy a leisurely lunch than by the river at Waterside Centre Café, Newbury. With fresh flavours, light bites, delicious lunches and tempting homemade treats, our new menu is perfect for sunny days.

Find your perfect spot and make the most of summer. Sit outside by the river in a sunny spot, relax in the cool shade under the trees and parasols, or if the heat gets a little too much, café customers are welcome to enjoy our upstairs air-conditioned Gallery Room.
