The last of our fabulous Friday summer sessions is this Friday and we’re going out with a bang - we’re firing up the paella pan & Jamie Bruce is playing live! Unplugged/open mic at Ye Olde Red Lion Chieveley - this Friday night 6-9pm outside on the terrace. Amps/mics provided - all ages, all abilities, all welcome to sing, play, dance in front of a very friendly crowd. Fab Summer bar-b-que served 6-9pm too. This Friday - 24th July sees the return of CHIEVELEY UNPLUGGED at the lion. A chance for anyone of any age and ability to sing, play, dance in front of a very friendly crowd. Our last one was fabulous and turned into an impromptu collab with some of those taking part! Your voice, your guitar, your recorder are all welcome. We’re celebrating the start of the summer holidays with this fab event, along with a bar-b-que for all to enjoy. We’d love you to take part, just give us a shout in the pub this week so we have an idea of who would like to take part! We’re also running a fabulous summer bar-b-que 6-9pm so come along to take part and perform or to support and enjoy!

What a week ahead …….
ALL GAMES - Tuesday, WEDNESDAY- OBVS 😘, Saturday & Sunday will be shown on both screens, our World Cup specials menu served on Wednesday night, plenty of room and viewing space, landlord setting up his grandstand seating in the bar - first come first served basis! Atmosphere will be cracking, beers will be cold, banter & chat will be a plenty! All ages and all supporters welcome - we can’t wait to watch it with you all!
And if that’s not enough on Friday we have and other Live & pizza night - the brilliant Harry J makes his red lion debut - from The Eagles, to Queen to Fleetwood Mac - you’re in for a treat - along with our cracking homemade pizzas - reservations for inside recommended, outside seating first come first served!
WHAT A WEEK - and if it is coming home….where else would you rather be!

A weekend of market shopping, live rugby, fab food and cracking live tunes at Ye Olde Red Lion.

Friday - we’re firing up the pizza beast for a night of fresh pizzas, cooked to order and live tunes from the brilliant Eggs Benedict- a band of very talented local youngsters!

Saturday - our monthly artisan market - bread, deli, patisserie, fresh fish & veg, plus the landlords bacon rolls & coffee - all set and served in the sunshine!

Saturday - The Nations Championship begins - which basically means live rugby all day - the landlord is over the moon 🤣😘.

Sunday - the epic red lion roast, plus summer salads. Served 12-4ish.

We always hugely appreciate your support and can’t wait to see you!

Another cracking week ahead at the lion - obviously including a certain football match - but lots of other fab events too!!

Wednesday- the big on both screens from 4.00pm for build up. Our World Cup menu with smash burgers, loaded dogs & nachos served from 6.00pm - plenty of room, plenty of chat & banter!

Friday - pizza & live at the lion! The ever popular pizza night returns - along with the cracking 🤣😘 Eggs Benedict playing live! A proper Friday night down the pub!

Saturday - monthly artisan market - all your favourite stalls & goodies! 10.30-12.30 or sell out!

Sunday - our epic Sunday lunch served 12-4 - served family feasting style.

It’s gonna be another warm one so remember gazebos are up outside for shade and the pub stays warm pretty cool! We can’t wait to see you and always HUGELY appreciate you supporting your favourite village local!
