I simply can’t quite believe this, but we have been named Best Cafe winners in the regional finals!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we simply couldn’t do it without you, our simply amazing customers that keep supporting us, rooting for us and recognising us for what we do - we adore you. All of you.

Our community, our team, our suppliers all make it happen, our dream really is alive, what once was us in a little horse-box dreaming of bigger things, is now this, a tiny coffee shop that’s been recognised not just in Newbury, but Berkshire!

We were up against some amazing competition, who shouldn’t go unrecognised, and won alongside some other very worthy winners.

I could go on all day, anyway, thank you, and I mean that. Love you see you soon 🫶🏼

So, 2026, what big plans do you have?

Truthfully, I’ve never liked this question.

Not because planning ahead is bad, it’s not - it just contradicts how we live and work, things crop up, lives change almost overnight sometimes. It’s very unusual in this world to have a roadmap that goes exactly to plan.

I recently had a conversation with another business owner who reinforced this for me, a lovely human that we’ve come to know better. We share the same mindset, a year ago they were bumbling along and now moving premises and potentially taking on staff, a year ago we had less team members and no van, things change! Getting our little van was a decision made almost within a week, things just align.

Obviously growth happens overtime and having a loose game plan helps but I feel forced timelines and milestones on day to day business can start to pull you away from why you started in the first place.

Growing organically appeals to me more, it keeps our ethos and values deep rooted in everything we do; not rushed, diluted or overlooked (mostly)

So, no grand declarations yet, just here staying aligned and making simply good coffee ☕️ 🤘🏼
