The Windmill Inn was taken over and fully refurbished in July 2012, opening
our doors on August 4th 2012. Our head chef (Alan Morgan) and head front of house (Steve Bazeley) own the business and are very much hands on! Our head bar and Waitress staff offer vast experience and support the team in all ways. It is a happy environment and pleasurable place to work which reflects on customer experience. Our goal is simply for our customers to enjoy their time with us. We firmly believe that only with quality comes success and always welcome your comments as a means of ensuring that all of our customers, both new and old, continue to enjoy their visit to The Windmill Inn.

So a quick shout out to our wonderful customers. We have some very dear friends who at current struggling a little, having to live at the LRI for the past month so watch over their very poorly, amazing daughter, Florence (you may have read her journey in/on the local news. They are finding hospital life extremely demanding and tiring and are desperate to get back to some normality. We all know hospital food is not michelin star but they have to be there 24/7 hoping for a breakthrough for Florence. In the meantime we would love to send a Windmill Sunday lunch and other bits up to them. With us all working whenever we are open we are hoping someone maybe able to come and grab some “proper” food and deliver it up to them on PICU. If anyone is available to grab a takeaway tomorrow and during our feast/pizza days next week and are heading into Leicester we know they would be so grateful. All we can say is thank you in advance, you would be making such a huge difference to the most lovely family ♥️ pics of Florence and her family 🩷♥️💙

Just a quick heads up to advise that we are back to this malarkey from Wednesday for the next 4 weeks. A reminder that Brascote Lane is closed to vehicles from Newbold Verdon up to the Windmill from 7:30am on Wednesday 27th May to Tuesday 23rd June. Pedestrian access only from the village.

Vehicular traffic diverted via Kirkby Lane as per the map below. THE WINDMILL & THE CAR PARK IS OPEN AS USUAL.

Any concerns / questions give us a call on 01455 824433.

4 weeks feels like a long time to us here and we are keeping everything crossed that diversions do not = deterrents and would love to see as many of you as possible over the next 4 weeks.
