Our Spicy Jinga starter won't blow your head off with heat - we promise! But it will blow your mind with the combination of spices that we use to create this delicious dish.

Huge Bangladeshi King Prawns are marinated in a spiced yoghurt, then grilled until perfectly juicy in our fiery tandoor oven. The dish is served with lightly fried onions and a salad. Squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over the top to bring the whole dish together and enjoy!

Call us on 01636 678969 to book a table at North Muskham, or call 01400 282490 to order a takeaway from Long Bennington.

Warm, bold and spicy, the Ashiana lamb Madras will tickle your tastebuds and warm your stomach!

Chunks of lamb shoulder are cut off the bone and marinated with curry powder, methi and Kashmiri chilli powder. Then the meat is skewered and charred in our tandoor oven before being added to a rich masala gravy, featuring tamarind for a lightly tangy note. Finish with a spritz of fresh lemon to bring all the flavours together!

It's a restaurant classic and utterly delicious! If you don't like lamb, then we can also cook it for you with chicken tikka meat, King Prawns, vegetables or paneer.

Call 01636 678969 to book a table at North Muskham, or call Long Bennington on 01400 282490 to order a takeaway for collection.

ASHIANA CROWNED KINGS OF CURRY AGAIN!

The Ashiana Indian & Bangladeshi Restaurant beat off stiff regional competition to be named Restaurant of the Year East Midlands at the prestigious English Curry Awards on Monday 10 August 2026.

Held at a glittering black tie ceremony at the Grand Station in Wolverhampton, the talents and hard work of the team at the Ashiana was recognised once again as they were awarded the title of Restaurant of the Year East Midlands.

The Awards spotlight Britain’s rich and diverse curry culture and encourages the continued growth and evolution of the industry. The restaurants shortlisted for the event have distinguished themselves with their exceptional quality, innovation, and consistency in offering a truly memorable dining experience for their customers.

Saiqul Miah, owner of the Ashiana Indian & Bangladeshi Restaurant said: “I’d like to thank our wonderful customers in Newark for our nomination. The Ashiana is not just a restaurant, it’s a family and we genuinely believe that this is key to our success. We have been family owned and run since 2009, and our valued customers are also part of the Ashiana family.

“They have supported us through the difficulties of the last few years and continue to support the Ashiana as all hospitality businesses struggle in the current economic climate. We are so very grateful to them and they are always at the heart of everything we do here at the Ashiana.

“Being nominated for a prestigious national award like this by our customers means the world to a small hospitality business like ours and we are over the moon to be bringing the trophy home to Newark.”

Numan Miah, Nadir Miah and Subhan Miah attended the event to collect the award on behalf of the Ashiana. They represent the up and coming second generation of Miahs to join their fathers working across the Ashiana Group locations.

How many of our King Prawn dishes have you tried? Hands up if you've tried these two amazing dishes!

On the left we have the King Prawn Pepper Fry. Juicy, Bangladeshi King Prawns are marinated in lime and turmeric, and then tossed in a peppery onion and fennel masala with cherry tomatoes, button onion and bell peppers, tempered with curry leaves.

And on the right, we have King Prawn Sawan. This is a healthy choice, featuring tender pieces of marinaded prawns cooked with peppers and juicy onions, alongside green olives. Truly a taste sensation!

Book a table tonight at North Muskham via our website, or call 01636 678969.

You can also order both dishes from Long Bennington when we open at 5.30pm.
