Cafe Hobby Update - Demonstration game prep for ‘The Other Partizan’ tabletop show in Newark in October

After alot of 3D printing and painting, time is starting to run short for putting the ‘admin’ together. Partizan Wargaming and History is a great show and certainly deserves time to put a great game together.

This one is a little special for us as it’s a first public outing of our own budding games rules for science fiction. So now it’s down to clarifying unit types, rules references and reference sheets to aid players to join the game.

As there is alot of 3d printed material, including ‘rescaling’ we are also going to put together where we found the computer stl files from and how we changed them sizewise.

We will share more as it comes…

Cafe Games Classics - Wingspan

This game is so pretty it needs two pictures - that means tolerating the game holder twice!

Wingspan has a touch of nostalgia about it, both in theme and artistic tone. For those old enough to remember the picture penguin books, the illustrations of birds in the game will take people back to their childhood.

Gameplay is relaxed and not competitive, in that players try to encourage, feed and breed the best natural aviaries they can.

Stacked card play and clever combinations of abilities score for eggs, bird types and habitats.

Recommended for those who enjoy a relaxed gaming session.
