🧱 LEGO BUILDING IS BACK! 🧱

After seeing how much the children and adults enjoyed playing with the LEGO at our Construction Club during the summer, we thought we’d make it a regular event!

Our first LEGO Building sessions will be:

📅 11th & 25th October
⏰ 9:30–11:30am
💷 £3 per person playing
📍 The Nest, New Romney

Come along, choose from our LEGO collection and see what you can create. There’s no pressure to follow instructions, just build, play and have fun. Children and grown-ups are very welcome to join in!

🌟 And we have something extra for our first session on 11th October…

Scott will be visiting with a selection of brand-new LEGO sets for sale, including Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter, Friends and more, with prices starting from £10.

He’ll also have LEGO minifigures and handmade LEGO earrings available.

💷 Scott’s stall is CASH ONLY, so bring some cash if you fancy treating yourself or getting an early Christmas present!

You don’t need to take part in LEGO Building to come and browse Scott’s stall, everyone is welcome to pop in, have a look and perhaps stay for a coffee, breakfast or cake. ☕🍰

All of our LEGO stays at The Nest ready for the next session, so hopefully our collection will keep growing too! 🧱💚

☕️ NETWORKING AT THE NEST 🌿

Our next Networking Morning is tomorrow, Tuesday 6th October, 10am–11.30am.

If you run a local business, work for yourself, freelance, are thinking about starting something new, or simply want to meet other local people in business, come along and join us.

And if the thought of “networking” makes you want to run in the opposite direction, this might reassure you… 😂

Last month we had someone new come along who was so nervous she nearly left. She didn’t know anyone and wasn’t sure whether networking was for her.

But she stayed — and it ended up being really beneficial for her and her business. She was able to chat through some of the things she was dealing with and got loads of advice, ideas and support from people who have been running businesses for years.

And really, that’s exactly what I want these mornings to be about.

Not sales pitches. Not swapping business cards with as many people as possible. Not awkward, formal networking.

Back in August Tobe stopped by The Nest, he is very inspirational and we spoke for hours about how these videos help others. The joy he has in what we pass everyday without taking any notice is infectious and something we should all take note of.

We have been waiting for his video ever since his visit and following his travels around the country. It was so good to see an alternative view of Dymchurch, capturing the beautiful houses and small businesses that make the village so welcoming. The beach was at its best and we can’t wait to see where he goes next.

At The Nest we love to hear the stories from our visitors, either about their lives or the reason they came to see us.
