Katie has been a huge part of MH team from the get go, working on the bar, she has recently been promoted to Assistant Bar Manager due to her hard work and dedication to NuBar and it is very well deserved. Well done Katie 👏

Katie is always here to put a smile on our faces and make us laugh, we are very lucky to have her here.

Yesterday, our team had the privilege of hearing from Alex and Jason, who head up Culture and Operations at Hickory's Smokehouse

We were thrilled when they accepted our invitation to come and spend some time with the team, sharing their experience and insight into how Hickory’s has created such an exceptional guest experience and incredible team camaraderie…something we’re always struck by whenever we’re lucky enough to visit!

Alex and Jason went above and beyond. Their genuine passion for what they do really shone through, as did their enthusiasm for hearing about our own plans and ambitions for the future.

For them to give up their time, share their knowledge so openly and invest so much energy in our team was a wonderful thing to do…and hugely appreciated by all of us.

Thank you, Alex and Jason, and a huge thank you to everyone at Hickory’s!

We came away inspired, energised and with plenty to think about as we continue building something special here.

Hey Bruno!

This weeks winner is Bruno, he is a gorgeous 3 and a half month old mixed breed with THE most beautiful fluffy little head!

Bruno loves his owner and has no concept of personal space what so ever, but who would not want to share their personal space with this gorgeous boy?!

An undeniable New Mills legend. 🎶

Lee Perry is bringing his humble soul and soulful acoustics to Market Hall.

We’ve known Lee since our school days and have watched his epic talent mature like a fine bourbon whiskey. 🥃

It’s an absolute honour to have him play here...and the perfect excuse for us all to forget about “adulting” for a while.

Come down, grab a drink, enjoy some incredible food and settle in for an evening with one of New Mills’ finest. ❤️

MEET THE TEAM!

Many of you may have seen our ‘Meet the Team’ posts, but you may not know that the person behind the pics is our lovely team member, Lisa.

Well, because only a psychopath would write their own post, I (Beth) have the honour of writing Lisa’s.

MEET LISA

Lisa is our Front of House Manager. That means she takes care of the team serving on the floor and in the KP (washing-up) area, as well as the experience of everyone who visits us.

There is no one who could give this job the fullness it requires quite like Lisa does.

Lisa cares so much about her team and everyone who walks in. She gets to know our visitors and notices when they aren’t there.

Lisa has an eye for standards. When something isn’t as good as it should be, Lisa finds the right way to make sure it’s made better.

Lisa is called ‘work mum’ by one particular team member because the relationship they’ve built knows no bounds in its caring nature. Lisa brings us love only a mother could bring.

Lisa, you make us what we are, and we cannot thank you enough for how dedicated you are to this space and all the people (and dogs) in it.

Once again, our friends at New Mills Festival have been working hard to transform our beautiful town into one big art gallery! 🎨

Throughout the festival, local businesses are partnering with local artists to showcase their work in windows and on walls across the town.

We’re delighted to welcome the Provide Art Group to Market Hall, where their fantastic collection of artwork is now on display.

Come and see their talent on our walls!
