The Village Bakehouse and Deli A family-run sandwich shop and deli, providing freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, hot food, pies, and a range of deli products and bakery goods.

Our goods are mostly locally produced or sourced from local suppliers, such as Heswall honey and F/R eggs. We are pleased to provide outside catering for any events. We have a long record of providing business lunches, party catering and funeral buffets. A full hot and cold menu is available and we can offer a fully serviced package. We haven’t posted for a few weeks as it’s been hectic, with hospital visits and Mandi away on her holibobs!
The more observant of you will have noticed that I have returned and whilst we are continuing the Tuesday-Friday opening hours for at least for another week, ou
r short-term goal is to get back to operating on Mondays too, and hopefully that’s not too far off. For now, we will remain closed on Saturdays but will review this again once we have settled into the 5 day week.
Thanks again for all your support and understanding. It certainly has been a difficult period, but I’m encouraged by just how much progress I have made in a relatively short period given the severity of my operation and all that went with it!
We all hope to see you again this week.

It was good to be back in the shop this week, and to see so many familiar faces ( and plenty of new ones!), even if it was a bit of a baptism of fire given we were short-staffed!
We are continuing to operate just Tuesday-Friday for the rest of this month and will look to open on Mondays as soon as we can- dependent on how things go when we are back to full staff levels.
I look forward to seeing even more old faces this week- have a lovey weekend.

Hi everyone- Simon’s recovery continues steadily. Some of you may even have glimpsed him a few times this week as he has been into the shop, albeit briefly. Hopefully these “visits” will be extending in the weeks to come as he prepares to make a staged return. In the meantime, the hours this week will remain as follows:
