What can I say about me... well I started cooking when I was very young, in fact I think I first learnt to cook rice and dhal when I was about 6 in miniature clay pots someone bought me as a gift, on a fire in the garden. Both my parents were Dutch Sri Lankan and both were prolific cooks. Not a day went by without one or other of them cooking up something experimental or traditional (and of course

spending a lot of time telling the other one what they could do better!). I have long held a dream of starting a food business but it was not until late last year that I found myself in the position of being able to do so and it took quite some months of thought and encouragement to get here. The name "The Curry Pincher" is derived from the Sri Lankan word for curry leaves, "Karapincha". My food is personal to me, and I'm really looking forward to sharing that with you.

Keeping it simple as per our customers request, but using fresh, local ingredients. And because we like to go the extra mile, we roasted the ham for ham salad, bought local fresh eggs for egg mayo and sourced the most gorgeous cheese for our cheese and onion barms. Then we threw in some homemade sausage rolls and crisps for free because we knew they would love them.

This is an American cut brisket, smoked and cooked low and slow for 12 hours. It has the traditional "bark" which is the crust that forms on the outside of the meat, it has the super tasty burnt ends. The meat is succulent and juicy, smoky and tender.
