Happy 1st October 🦇 👻 🎃 we love this time of year. Comfort food & cake… or maybe a spooky shortbread bat or mummy.

Our 2nd homemade cottage pie of the week is available tomorrow served with peas, our soup is homemade cauliflower cheese & hot puddings are back!!! Yippee! To kick start the season Sticky toffee pudding, jam sponge and syrup sponge will be on the menu. Which one will you be trying first?

Well you definitely missed us 🥰 our homemade lasagne & cream of mushroom soup sold out in record time. Tomorrow’s special is homemade cottage pie served with petit pois & our soup will be cauliflower cheese.

Dare we mention Christmas yet? 😱😬

We’re pleased to announce after last years popular event we will be hosting
a Wreath Making event at the cafe in collaboration with Fleur Couture, Barrowford on Friday 27th November, 6.30pm to 8.30pm approx finish. £45.00pp which includes a hot drink and cake. We’re expecting this event to book up quickly as it was an excellent evening last year.

Why not make it your new Christmas tradition and come along with friends and family.

After a fabulous little break we will be re-opening tomorrow at 10am. We love this time of year. The cafe smells beautiful with the Christmas cakes baking & the festive mincemeat maturing ready for mince pies.

We’re kicking off tomorrow with our homemade lasagne and garlic bread for the lunchtime special & the soup of the day is our homemade creamy mushroom. Our cakes and bakes are all fully stocked.

Breakfast is served until 12.30 & The kitchen closes at 2.30. Cakes & hot drinks served until 3pm when we close.

Thank you we’ve had a really busy week with buffets, afternoon teas, cakes, breakfasts & meals so we’re ready for our little holiday.

Thursday’s special is a perfect picky lunch (or tea if you want to order it to takeaway) it’s our piggin out plate. Butcher’s ham, pork pie, homemade sausage roll, homemade scotch egg, cheddar cheese, bloomer bread, side salad, homemade coleslaw & crisps 😋 We’ve made plenty. If it goes down a treat we will be having it as our special until Saturday when we close for our summer holidays.

Plus this could be the last time that you see our summer fresh cream cakes for the year so why not pop in for your daily fix of apple or raspberry turnovers, trifles or cheesecakes as after our break we will be introducing our delicious hot puddings. We love summer but there is something really comforting about winter puds.

We’re open 9.00-3.00 & out last foods orders at at 2.30. We really hope to see you soon x

We’re sorry we’ve been so quiet but we’ve been busy busy with our customers so haven’t had chance to post. We’ve so many sweet treats ready for you tomorrow including; millionaires, pavlovas, trifles, apple turnovers… to name just a few 🥰

We’re open 9.00am to 3.00pm, last food orders at 2.30pm but coffee & cafes are served until we close.

We also thought we’d better let all our Facebook & Instagram followers know that we are closing for a week so we can have a little holiday before all the festive planning begins 😬 surely it can’t be that time again! I can almost smell the Christmas cakes baking 🎅🏼

Just a reminder that we are closed tomorrow. It's our 1st Saturday off in a while and with no bookings we are free to enjoy the Blues this weekend.
If you are going to miss us you can catch up with us at The Crown at 1pm and Bees Knees at 8pm and you will see 2 very familiar faces as our Daniel and Andre are playing with their band Zephyr 😀 . We hope you all have a fabulous bank Holiday weekend ❤️

Don’t forget we are closed this Saturday 29th August, but don’t worry if you want your Marsden Park cafe fix before the weekend you can. We’re open tomorrow 9.00 to 3.00pm.

Our special is our homemade cheddar & red onion quiche which is served with homemade coleslaw & potato salad plus side salad & crisps. Our soup of the day is cauliflower cheese.

We’re fully stocked with homemade cakes & bakes too.

All our food can be enjoyed in the cafe or boxed up for takeaway.
