It looks like the weather might be cooling down a touch tomorrow but it’s been so hot in the kitchen so we’ve a firm favourite for our special tomorrow & Saturday.….. our piggin out plate 🐷 homemade scotch egg, homemade sausage roll, butchers ham, pork pie, cheddar cheese, a slice of buttered bloomer served with side salad, coleslaw & crisps 😋 we also have all your favourite treats including apple turnovers, cheesecakes & trifles to name a few.

We’re open 10.00am to 3.00pm & our kitchen is closing a little earlier than usual tomorrow & will close at 2.15pm.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited us today. You have kept us really busy. By 10am this morning every inside table was reserved, which is amazing.

We’re open as usual tomorrow but we won’t be serving breakfast in the morning due to us having to have a new oven installed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but fingers crossed it will be installed by 12pm at the latest. If it’s early we will share to good news with you all on FB & Instagram.

Please share with all your friends & family as we’d hate to let you down.

We are back!! Thanks everyone for all your kind words, we will be open as usual tomorrow.
We have local historian Lewis Ashworth joining us tomorrow, he will be at the cafe from 11.30am so why not come and see his fantastic work and grab a breakie while you are here 😊.

Open from 9am till 3pm (last food order 2.30pm.

Due to staff illness we are unable to open today.
We are really sorry for the short notice and this decision hasn't been taken lightly but we are both poorly. We fully expect to be back tomorrow, we just need a day to recover.

Thank you to all our customers today and for your patience at our extremely busy times. Tomorrow's special is homemade Lasagne served with side salad, homemade coleslaw and garlic bread. We have lots of fresh cream cakes as well as our ever popular traybakes and brownies. Ice-cream and Ice-cream milkshakes, children's menu and much more so why not pay us a visit this week. You can call or message to reserve a table or just pop in. Our opening hours are 9-3pm (last hot food order 2.30pm) we will also have our tables out tomorrow if the weather stays dry.

If you fancy a game of tennis at Marsden Park in Nelson and don’t have the equipment – don’t worry, there’s free equipment to use!
You can borrow rackets and balls from Marsden Park Café to use on the nearby courts, Wednesday to Saturday, 9am – 3pm.
This offer – courtesy of Marsden Park Cafe and Burnley Tennis Club who donated the sporting equipment – is available all summer for the whole community.

Good morning.

We’ve made a slight change in our opening hours.

We’ve recently found Saturdays to be a little quieter than usual so we’ve decided to close the last Saturday of each month.

We’ve had so many requests for private functions & buffets and haven’t been able to squeeze you all in so thought that we would offer one Saturday a month plus Sundays for you to celebrate your special occasions with us at the cafe.
