It is a classic Shropshire country inn to the bottom of its venerable boots, and pretty much sums up everything we love about pubs.

The Combermere has a long and proud history as a pub – it dates from the 1540’s and is a jumble of nooks and crannies, and we’ve tried hard to preserve the character of the building, which after all was what attracted us to the pub in the first place.

Forget the bank holiday storms and come enjoy our new Rum Spritz!
It’s a refreshing twist on your usual spritz mixing rum with Campari to create a zesty flavour.

Our chefs are also cooking up a storm with some tasty new dishes. The new braised pork ribeye with tarragon mash is already a fan favourite.

This is Sam Lacey and his beautiful fiancée Lucy.
You may not know Sam so let us introduce you. He joined us over 2 years ago, coming from our sister pub The Dysart Arms. Sam is one of the amazing people behind the scenes cooking your food. He is a joy to have in our kitchen and always makes sure team morale is high. All of us here at the Combermere love working with him.

10 years ago Sam was diagnosed with Alport syndrome. Today he is waiting for a kidney transplant. In September, Sam and his family are completing the Liverpool Bridges walk to raise money for Kidney Research UK. They are the largest charity dedicated to kidney research here in the UK.

Retro Night 🪩 Friday 25th September

As promised our new date for Retro Night is here! This time we are doing things a little differently. No tickets, no pre-payments, just you, your friends and a booking.

Our Retro Menu brings all the old school classics you know and love, some of the dishes have our own little modern twist. The whole menu is very tasty, we can’t wait for you to try it yourselves.
Not feeling so nostalgic? Do not worry we are also running a reduced version of our daily menu.

Decades Duo are back to perform the best Party Dance floor Hits from 9pm.
If you only want to enjoy the music with a couple drinks or show off your moves on the dance floor, we have you sorted, come in and join the fun. 🕺🏼

What a weekend of celebrations at The Combermere!
Thank you to everyone who came to the Sausage and Cider Festival, it was a big success! Our lovely Pia and Greg also celebrated 4 years at the Combermere Arms on Saturday, oh how those years have flown!
We really appreciate all your support and we’re already making plans for next year.
