A little glimpse behind the bakes

It’s our Nic

One of the owners of Makes by Megs, professional problem solver, occasional chaos coordinator and apparently someone who is very into spa weekends

Nic recently escaped to Atholl Palace in Pitlochry with her friend Gemma for a little weekend of switching off, catching up, eating good food and generally pretending the bakery doesn’t exist

No orders to check, pack and post

No bakery jobs to organise

No one asking, “Where’s that gone?”

Just a bit of time to relax, recharge and enjoy some proper downtime with a good friend

Although we’re fairly confident cake was discussed at some point

Work hard
Eat cake
Occasionally disappear to a spa

Seems like a pretty solid life plan to us. ❤️

Like genuinely

Because for some reason we thought it was a good idea to let you build your own cookie box

You pick the cookies
You choose your favourites
You can mix it up

Or and this is where we’ve really lost the plot you can just fill the entire bloody thing with the same cookie

No random ones you don’t fancy
No settling for your second choice
Just a box of exactly what you want

Honestly we should probably stop giving people this much power.

You’ve got your carbs.

Your fats

Your fruit

Your protein

Then obviously, cake

We don’t make the rules people

Actually we do

Our rule is that if you’ve had a stressful day, you deserve cake

If you’ve had a good day, you deserve cake

If it’s Wednesday and you’re just getting through the week
