Our cake of the month for August is millionaire's shortbread from .

It is decadent baked treat made of three distinct layers: a crisp shortbread base, a soft and gooey caramel middle, and a smooth chocolate topping.

Like the original shortbread, the 'millionaire' version was thought to have been created in Scotland. It was a rich, luxurious upgrade created in the 1950s.

Tomorrow's TUesday Storytelling Club (TUSC) hosted by Bud will be on the theme fun at the seaside 🪣 🪏 ☀️ 🐚

For anyone who hasn't discovered this holiday gem, TuSC includes stories, colouring and stickers and a sing-along for youngsters. There's also a children's borrowing library in the cafe.

See you 10-10.30 tomorrow morning in the cafe. And, added bonus, the Salt Bakehouse van will be outside at the same time. 🥐🍞🥖
