GRATITUDE GOODBYE

Gratitude, it makes food taste nicer, music sound better, the air sweeter, and its with immense gratitude (and sadness) that I'm signing off after 6 years.

Thankyou, for a wonderfully unique insight into the world from behind our little counter. Thank you for the laughs, the brilliant stories, the existential conversations, the gifts, meeting your gorgeous pups, the cutest babies, allowing me to be part of your special occasions, millions of hugs AND the amazing constant support.

Ellen and i tried to create a lovely, welcoming place ready for something magical to happen, but it's you guys that have filled it over the years and created such a wonderful warm vibe. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the unrelenting support and confidence in us; you helped shape what we became.

Thankyou to each and every one of you for anything and everything in allowing me to absolutely love my job. I can't count the number of times I've shared laughter and tears with you over the years.
Good friends & happy memories will always remain.

I also can't thank my team enough, past and present. Everyone contributed to our little cafe journey. These guys have laughed with me in the best of times, cried with me in the worst of times and helped carry me in the hardest of times.

It's been a hell of a ride and I've bloody loved it all.

For now, I'm going to have a well needed rest, but who knows what adventures the future holds?!
I'll be seeing you 😘

SHAKSHUKA

last nights tea = new brunch special 😜

North African style ratatouille with onions, peppers and tomatoes in a harissa sauce. Added a little twist w/ some smoky Chipotle beef to pimp it up. Topped & baked with fried eggs.

< ANNOUNCEMENT >

As most of you will have been aware, the building we are housed in has been up for sale. As its now been sold, unfortunately we are unable to remain 😢. There were high hopes for the village library to be housed upstairs, promising a happy symbiotic nature. Unfortunately funding was declined for the library and so our last day serving you lovely lot will be FRIDAY 1st APRIL.

Thankyou for your ever increasing custom, friendship, smiling faces & continued support throughout all that has been thrown at us. I absolutely love what I do & I'm proud of everything Ellen and I have created and achieved. But you have all helped shape us into what we have become up to now; a fun, friendly community hub. Thankyou for welcoming us into this amazing community and supporting us in more ways that one 💕

A big shout out to everyone who has walked through our doors, followed us on fbook, reviewed us, championed us & spread the word.
I couldn't have come this far without my amazing team (past and present) who I also proudly call my friends.

So for now, we are still here & still cooking up some tasty shenanigans. Come see us, support us and come get your favourite; whether it's our naanwiches, burgers, curries or a full monty fix.
I'm gonna leave it there to avoid the cavalcade of emotions I'm feeling bubble out.
