The lovely cafe ladies Bec and Lucy spent a well earned day off at Bluebell Dairy farm yesterday . Enjoying their annual open day to all the business they supply . Lots of new flavours for the ladies to try , and have a look behind the scenes, before taking a look around the farm itself, which is all set for pumpkin and Halloween season . They also met some fury friends along the way . It’s definitely worth a visit 😁🎃🍦👻💀🐑🐄🐮

What a busy but wholesome couple of days here at The MMC Café.
Yesterday we helped Sylvia from the heart rehab group celebrate her birthday with a lemon Victoria sponge and lots of friends.
Today we had Mountsorrel Poppy Display 2026 in our auditorium tying over 3’000 hand knitted poppies onto the large cargo nets, ready to displayed on the village green in preparation for Remembrance Sunday.
Thank you to Jill O'Neill and Chrissy Haywood, the driving force behind the Poppy display .
Thank everyone who had volunteered their time to make this happen . 🥰🌺🧶 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We cannot believe it has been 3 years since local resident John Fitzgerald came to me with an idea to run a small group and call it the repair cafe . From the first session with 4 or 5 volunteers to now well over 20. Every session has local residents queuing out the door with a whole array of items in need of repair, most of which are and saved from the landfill .
We can’t wait to celebrate you’d 3rd birthday as-well as bake lots of lovely goodies for you .
Well done to everyone involved in The Fix It Group 23 😁🔨🔧🧰☕️🎂🍰
