Join us at The Rose & Thistle, Alwinton for our Sunday menu, with traditional favourites including slow roasted topside of beef, pork loin, honey glazed ham and plenty more. Followed, of course, by something sweet! 😋

We had the pleasure of welcoming this lovely bunch of cyclists to The Rose & Thistle, Alwinton this morning. 🚲

After putting the miles in, we reckon they’d earned a good feed! 😋

The Rose & Thistle is the perfect place to drop in for a little break, whether you're out cycling, walking, exploring Northumberland or simply enjoying a day out.

Good food, a warm welcome and a cracking view… what more could you ask for? ❤️

Our weekly menu runs through from Wednesday to Saturday. With plenty to choose from there is a dish for everyone.

Oh, and we also serve Hawkstone Cider and Lager 🍻

Looking for a lovely little walk around Alwinton and the River Alwin? 🌿⛰️

This 4.5-mile route starts and finishes right here at The Rose & Thistle, making it the perfect excuse to get out, enjoy some beautiful Northumberland scenery and then come back and put your feet up!

After 4.5 miles, you've definitely earned yourself a pint in the beer garden. 🍺😉

Or, if you're feeling hungry, why not finish the walk with some proper pub grub and enjoy the views while you're here?
