I’ve just had my first full weekend off from Grouch in six months. Six months of six day weeks. I’m tapped out.
Thank you to all who kept us busy every Saturday through a very very hot Summer season. We saw our weekday regulars 🫶🏻 & our returning tourists who come back to see us year after year.
It’s been a very challenging year for us all - both shop wise & personally. We’ve kept going because we love it. It’s more than just a job. It’s a day we spend with friends, making them smile & brightening their day.
We’ll be back to Saturdays in May, but for now you’ll just have to put up with our smiling faces for 5 days a week. Weekdays 5:30am-2:00pm.

We had an absolute blast of a Friday evening. Thank you to all who came & had a drink with us. We’ll do another Grouch After Dark soon.

We ended our cocktail night as always by swinging by the legendary MUZZY'S KEBAB_VAN for a banging kebab. Now this is a business with friendliness & community in their hearts. Look at the second photo of when they came to our rescue quite literally by jump starting the Grouch mobil in their lay-by! Thanks again guys xx

Stu celebrated 40 years as director of Batsford Arboretum last month!!

A local of area of Cotswolds destinations & known throughout as a funny, caring & passionate man.

One of his most memorable times over the decades however was being lucky enough to spend the day as a Grouch employee…aka a Grouch Girlie…*

*although ridiculously lifelike (scared Amelia a few times) this cardboard cutout was not forced into unpaid labour & was well cared for, fed & watered throughout his time at Grouch.
