The long wait is finally over and we will be opening up again tomorrow from 11 o'clock till 4 o'clock. These hours will apply Friday to Tuesday as we will be closed Wednesdays and Thursdays initially. We are looking forward to welcoming friends old and new for a coffee and home baking. There has been a lot of progress during Lockdown. Come along and see for yourself.

We have now made all tree western side windows with double glass, this means we can use the new floor section, when we open again in March. It means you can sit inside and enjoy the sunshine in the afternoon, while you are enjoying your cake and coffee, even if it is cold outside. 😋😃

We have just completed the ramp for the Cafe. It is 1.5m wide, giving plenty of room for wheelchairs. The next job will be to make a concrete footpath from the road. We are also intending to extend the deck to enable two tables to stand on it and for more people to enjoy the lovely view.

We have finally finished the ramp into the cafe, 1.5m wide, plenty of room for wheelchairs, now we just need to make the cemented footpath from the road.

It does not sound as if we will be allowed to open again for some time, but it sounds as if we may be allowed to open for people to sit outside, and if it is weather like last week, I can tell you, you will find it difficult to fine a place with better view than this, and very comfortable. It only has one problem, and that is that when I sit there, it takes me twice as long to bring my coffee, meaning I am not getting enough work done. 😀

We may not be able to open the Cafe now, but we can carry on with the restoration of the building, and tidying of the property. All the timber now stored under the deck and the ramp. It was laying around and looking messy. Now, not only is it no longer looking messy, but it is also so much easier to find the right type of timber.

Inside we have got a long way with the floor extension, it is a very slow job, and requiring a lot of human power, to sand the floor without a floor sander (well, Richard is now the floor sander), but it saves a lot of money to do it manually, and I will say it is looking much better than the first floor, done by a floor sander.
If anyone is able to contribute towards the work at this time, with the cafe closed until further notice, that would help us make the most of this opportunity. Here is the link to our go fund me page. Thank you and stay safe.
