Johnshaven lobster, Upper Dysart potatoes, home-grown vegetables and a very, very good bottle of Saint Aubin.

Simple things, sourced well, in a pretty special place.

We are absolutely delighted to share that Rae’s has been named a finalist for Food Tourism Business of the Year at the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.

As a small business based in Angus, this recognition means an enormous amount to us.

Our work has always been about sharing Scotland, and especially Angus, through food; bringing together incredible local produce, remarkable landscapes and the stories of the producers and land owners behind them. Whether we are serving lobster on the dunes at Lunan Bay, cooking over fire in the Angus Glens or creating a private dining experience elsewhere in Scotland, we want every guest to leave feeling that they have experienced something authentically Scottish.

None of it would be possible without our wonderful team, suppliers, venue partners, travel trade partners and guests. Thank you for supporting us, trusting us and helping us bring these experiences to life.

We are incredibly proud to be representing Angus and Scottish food tourism together with our other Angus finalists, Upper Dysart Larder and Angus Soft Fruits... and very excited for awards night. 🥂

Highland Hearth is our private bothy dining experience in the Angus Glens featuring open fire cooking, local produce, whisky, candlelight and proper Highland atmosphere.

There’s something timeless about gathering around a fire.
Our Highland Hearth Experience celebrates that; bringing people together over flame-cooked food, rich seasonal flavours, and long-table connection. Inspired by Highland hospitality, this is an event of warmth, storytelling, and experiencing Angus in all of it’s glory.

Hosted at in their beautiful shooting bothy, guests arrive via Defender transfer and enjoy cocktails and canapés surrounded by the snow covered estate. prepares a 3 course open fire cooked meal, paired with delicious wines 🍷, and including a meet the producer moment. At this event we were joined by who provided a one of a kind whisky tasting for our guests, and even managed to convert a whisky non-believer!

We recently hosted an exclusive Highland Hearth experience for our colleagues from the travel trade and it was ✨ dreamy ✨

What a year it’s been! Thank you to all of our wonderful clients and superhero suppliers; this year has been so brilliant. We had our busiest summer ever, introduced so many new experiences to our portfolio and had fabulous clients and suppliers to work with.

We’re all done for 2025 and will be taking some time off just being Mum & Dad for a few weeks. Can’t wait to see all of our 2026 bookings 🤩
