There's been a lot of speculation about what's going on with the chip shop , so we thought it's only right to put things straight.
After over 45 years of being in business, and partly due to difficulties arising from the insurance claim following the flood, we have decided that it time for us to close the business and put the property up for sale.
We'd like to thank all of our customers for your support, and all of the great people we have employed over the years . Many of you have become good friends rather than employees, and we couldn't have lasted so long without you.
Whoever buys the building is getting one of the best locations in town and , in our opinion, it will always be a successful hospitality business. Who knows , someone might keep it as fish & chips ! Whoever it is , we wish them every success.
Thanks again to the people of Monmouth for all you support over the last 4 decades , we will miss you x

There's about 90 of the green general trade waste sacks , and 30 of the purple plastic and metal recycling ones. Probably cost us over £200 , but any serious cash offer will be accepted.

are at it again...taking monthly payments from us despite us having no phone line currently.
I emailed them , but got no reply. Called the number on an email I got from them in November, which turned out to be FAKE !
Called normal customer service, but was told that my complaint in November had been passed up to head office, so there was nothing they could do. I asked for a WORKING phone number for head office , but was told that they aren't allowed to give it out.
They really are the worst company it has ever been our misfortune to deal with.

I'm interested to know if any business in Monmouth that hasn't yet reopened due to the flood has had their business rates reduced?

I have called Mon. CC several times to throw myself on their mercy , but they really don't care. The result is that we have to pay full rates.
