LET’S FIND BEN A JOINERY APPRENTICESHIP
PLEASE SHARE!

We’re hoping the power of Facebook might be able to help us with this one, so please give it a share.

Ben has worked for us since he was 15 and, truthfully, we don’t really want to lose him.

He’s hard working, reliable, loyal and someone we know we can depend on. But joinery and woodworking are what Ben wants to do long term, and we want to help him take that next step.

Ideally, we’d love to find him a joinery apprenticeship, but Ben is also really keen to get some work experience and learn from people already working in the trade.

So if you’re a local joiner, cabinet maker, furniture maker, carpenter or you do something a little different or exciting within woodworking, and you could offer Ben the chance to spend some time with you, get involved and learn, we’d love to hear from you.

He’s more than happy to offer his time for the right experience.

And if you can’t help directly, please share this post. Somebody you know might be able to open the right door for him.

We’d rather not lose him, but we’d be even happier to see him doing something he genuinely wants to build a future in.

We’ve been filling the shelves at Yorkshire Makers with more and more old favourites, and everyone seems to have the one they always go for.

You really can’t get much more local than that.

You asked, we listened.

We’re excited to say we’ve started building our range of zero waste refillable products here at Yorkshire Makers.

Our refill station now includes hand soaps, making it easy to refill, reduce single-use plastic and make a simple swap that’s kinder to the environment.

Don’t have a bottle? No problem. We also stock quality amber glass refill bottles, so you can get started straight away.

This is just the beginning too. We’ll be expanding the range over the coming weeks with more refillable household essentials, so keep an eye out for what’s arriving next.

Pop in with your own bottles or pick up one of ours and start your refill journey today.
