One of the things we love about Yorkshire Makers is being able to bring a bit more of what’s happening locally into the shop.

We work closely with The OC here in Mirfield, so when they bring a new brewery onto the bar, we’ll often bring in a full range of cans or bottles from the same brewery for you to take home and try too.

It means the pub can introduce you to something new on draught, and we can help you discover even more from that brewery on our shelves.

Local businesses working together, supporting breweries we love, and giving Mirfield even more great b**r to choose from.

And judging by the shelves at the moment… we’re not doing too badly.

The ghosts are taking over the window at Yorkshire Makers…

Ben’s been busy at the lathe turning a fresh batch of his wooden ghosts, and they’re now in the window alongside Taylor’s hand-poured ghosts.

Even better, both are made right here in Mirfield.

Ben turns each wooden ghost individually, so the shape and grain make every one slightly different. Taylor hand pours hers, which means the colour combinations and patterns differ with every single ghost too.

No mass production, no two exactly alike. Just two very different ways of making something by hand, right here in Mirfield.

New local craft b**rs have landed at Yorkshire Makers 🍻

We’ve added even more Yorkshire-made b**r to the shelves, with new bottles and cans from Nailmaker Brewing Co, Three Fiends and Craven Brew Co.

There’s a proper mix too, from pale ales and pilsners to bitters, porters and stouts, so plenty to choose from whether you’re picking up a few for the weekend or putting together a gift.

We love being able to stock products made by independent Yorkshire businesses, and this range fits Yorkshire Makers perfectly.

Pop in, have a browse and try something local.

Made in Yorkshire. Drunk in Yorkshire. Sounds about right.

Maker of the Week – Tree and Bees Coffee

This week’s Maker of the Week really couldn’t be much more local.

Tree and Bees Coffee is run by Adam from Mirfield, with the coffee roasted right here in Mirfield too.

We’ve got a selection of his speciality coffees in store, with different origins, roast levels and flavour profiles to choose from. Each bag tells you where the coffee has come from and the flavours to look out for.

Properly local coffee, roasted just down the road and now on the shelves at Yorkshire Makers.

MAKER OF THE WEEK

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Churchill’s Vintage.

Their shelves at Yorkshire Makers are packed with beautiful handmade pieces, from gorgeous little bags and purses to knitted baby booties, bookmarks and some brilliant handmade characters.

There’s loads of personality in everything they make, and it’s the sort of stand you can easily spend ten minutes looking through and still spot something you missed the first time.
