Back in December Something Else Fishy was invited to an industry Xmas ball in Peterborough kindly paid for by a potato seed grower Meijer Uk, these guys seriously knows there spuds!

Meijer Potato UK develop new varieties to suit our ever changing growing conditions and have to be a head of the game and supply new varieties that work in today’s climate. So today Terry turned up with some sample bags for us to try tonight, the variety is called Lady Jane which has been cross bred with Agria and taken 10 years to perfect! So for one day and one day only, come along and try and let us know what you think.

We cook our own pea’s to create the delicious green superfood that is your mushy pea’s, they take a while to get them just how you like them but oh so worth it!!

*****We are back up and running****

Anyone that popped by to our Sherborne store for their Friday fish & chips would have found us closed. We are so sorry but the motor on our range blew up! We had a spare, that wasn’t working either! It was a very stressful situation! But thanks to a few local people and a company all the way up in Bradford we are now frying again! Thanks you to Nick Aplin plumbing, A.W.Home & build and Kevin from Vale Fire Safety for coming to our aid. And thank you to you all for your patience and understanding
