PUB IDOL – HEAT 2 OF 3
Last night, we were back judging the brilliant Pub Idol competition at The Miners in Eston for the fourth year running.
Eight singers took to the stage in front of a packed venue, performing two songs each. The top three from every heat go through to the Pub Idol final at The Miners, with the top two then progressing to the regional final in North Shields, where they’ll compete against singers from pubs across the North East and Yorkshire.
From there, the best performers advance to the national final. After travelling to Leeds for the past three years, I’m delighted that this year’s Pub Idol national final will be held right here in Eston at The Miners!
We’ve seen some fantastic singers over the years, supported by their families and friends. Some previous contestants have even gone on to start their own singing businesses and perform in pubs and clubs, which is brilliant to see.
It’s a real privilege to be one of the judges and support such a great competition.
