As most of you are aware this Sunday will be our last day open.

So let's go out with a bang Sundays meats will be pork and chicken

All drinks & desserts will be free with any meal/sanwich just ask behind the counter

If you're just popping in to say goodbye or share stories enjoy a free hot drink on us.

****IMPORTANT NOTICE****

It is with great sadness we have to announce that The Northern Grill will be closing down at the end of the month, meaning our last day of trading will be Sunday the 30th of October.

We have tried and tried to avoid the inevitable, price increases, cost saving and promoting yet despite all the great customers we have, the latest round of cost of living increases have unfortunately put us in the position where we can no longer sustain the business.

The cafe has been apart of our family for nearly 15 years and it will be sadly missed not to mention some of the regulars that have been going to the cafe for close to 30 years we hope they find somewhere else to go and share their stories.

We would like to thank all our customers over the years for their support and hope you will all come by this week so the team can say goodbye.

The past few weeks we have sold out of dinners, we are now advising people to phone ahead and place orders to avoid disappointment 01642 850000

We will do everything we can to meet the demand and serve everyone our hot delicious home made dinners.

Seats will also be limited during this peak time so consider getting there early or get your dinner to go

After the energy price rise on Saturday this is the average cost of electric to make a Sunday dinner. Not including the actual food!!!!

Let us bare that burden and cook for you and even better there's no washing up afterwards either

Sunday dinners served between 11am and 1.30pm every Sunday with a range of different meats and veg. Sit in, takeaway or even call and collect at your leisure

**** Cost of Living Crisis ****

It currently takes 2.1kwh to run your average electric oven for an hour

Factor in cooking your choice of Roast Meat, Yorkshire puds and Roast potatoes it could take upto 5 hours to prepare your Sunday dinner.

After 1st October the average cost of just 1kwh with be 52p meaning the electric alone to cook your Sunday dinner will cost over a FIVER!!!!! Not including the price you paid for the ingredients.

At this point it makes more sense to let us serve you a freshly cooked Sunday roast for just £6.50, we will even do the washing up after.
