So today is our last day - the girls are in and closing at 1pm today.

We want to say a heartfelt “Thankyou” to everyone who supported us; it truly has become a destination and something we are proud of - but what we’ve found is that trying to run two businesses was one too many for us 😄 even with our powerhouses Jen and Ellie; without whom I think we would have thrown in the towel a long time ago.

Dai and Mandy ran the shop as it should have been, living and working in the business and I take my hats off to them and the time and effort it must have taken to do that as long as they did 👏👏👏.

Thankyou for all the lovely comments in the last couple of weeks, it’s been a bitter sweet time for sure.

Thankyou to our customers, friends and community for supporting us!

Biggest of thanks to “The girls” - Jen, Ellie, Meg, Lily, Katie, Livvi, Marie and not forgetting Lily blonde and Lily dark and of course Jodie 😅…what a time it’s been ❤️❤️ - without you it wouldn’t have been possible at all.

We’re not sure what’s next for The Croft - if you think it’s for you, message us. If not, I’m sure we’ll come up with something.

Good news for anyone nursing the Black Friday hangover today and maybe tomorrow! The girls are putting on the chicken and suffing baguettes, roasties and gravy - all weekend..

Don’t forget all our icecreams are now £1 per scoop and if you have a large gathering over Xmas we have 4 unopened containers of Vanilla, Rum and raisin and Princess (strawberry with sparkly bits) for £15 - that’s a lot of icecreams!!

We are open until Tuesday but are obviously running down our stocks now - please be patient with our girls, working right to the end ❤️

We’re heading into our final few days at the shop ☹️. The girls have been overwhelmed with the comments, visits and even gifts from our fabulous customers ❤️ we have certainly had the continued support that we asked for!

If you are planning on calling in over the next few days, please note that we are running on a limited menu and all our icecreams are now £1 per scoop 😳.

This is a sad post from us the morning - please read and share.

We have taken the decision to close McCombies at the Park Shop permanently, our last day will be Tuesday 23rd of December, all bookings to this date (with the exception of a lady who has enquired about Afternoon tea in March!) are completely safe.

A huge thanks for all the support we have had over the last 17 months, it’s been a pleasure to serve a very lovely community that will always feel like home to me.

The biggest thanks will go to “The girls” present and past that have taken the reigns and been the faces and soul of the shop. Their loyalty, hard work and genuine good hearts are the reason we got this far. Dougie and myself will always be grateful to this bunch of fabulous women and girls - in particular Ellie and Jen who have stepped up and managed the place but also Meg, Lily, Katie, Livvy and Marie - Thankyou girls ❤️❤️❤️ we would give each and everyone of you the very best references as workers and truly the lushest of people!

The ladies have chosen to keep the shop open the extra few days so please continue to support us and help us go out on a high..

On an important note - if you have bought a gift voucher from us, please return it for a full refund ASAP - I’m really sorry for any inconvenience.

Thankyou again to all of our customers, the regulars and the one offs - even the tik-tok guy that rated us low because he had to butter his own toast 🤪🤪 - that gave us a laugh!
