We had to share this lovely poem that was in the village newspaper.

It’s always so nice to hear what people think of our little corner of Derbyshire, and this one really captures what makes Lea so special - the village, the green spaces, the gardens, a bit of cake and, of course, a visit to us.. The Jug & Glass!

If you’re looking for somewhere to escape to for a day or a weekend, Derbyshire is the perfect place. With beautiful walks, villages and countryside right on our doorstep, why not make a day of it and pop in to see us? Whether it’s a bite to eat after a walk, a drink on the terrace or a stay in one of our rooms, we’d love to welcome you to Lea.

A huge well done to Max for taking the time to write this. It certainly put a smile on our faces, and we’re very proud to be part of such a lovely village.

Our last Grill Night of the year is coming up..

Join us on Saturday 29th August for our final Grill Night of 2026, with tables available from 5pm – 8pm.

It’s always a popular one, so if you fancy joining us for a proper Saturday night meal, make sure you get your table booked in advance.

🚜 Tractor Night at The Jug & Glass 🚜

Join us every Wednesday evening for Tractor Night!

Whether you’re bringing your tractor along or just fancy coming down to have a look, everyone is welcome. It’s a great chance to catch up with friends, admire the tractors and enjoy a relaxed evening at the pub.

We also have free nibbles available for those attending, so why not make an evening of it?
