Car park available Summer Opening starts 29th March

After 5 years of running the kiosk I am hanging up my boots. My last weekend of running the kiosk is Saturday March 15th and Sunday March 16th.
Many thanks to all customers over the years (well ok except the odd one or two) and especially to repeat customers. I wish you all well for the future and hope the next incumbent at the kiosk will be a least as good as me (should be easy, low bar).
The Peak Park currently have the kiosk out to tender. It will therefore be closed for a few weeks under they appoint a new franchisee.

Update on opening time for the Kiosk
Closed this Saturday 26th October
Then open all the following week (Half term) including the weekend 2nd and 3rd November.
Then Open Friday Saturday and Sunday only 8,9,10 and 15,16,17 November
Closed weekend of 22,23,24 and 29,30,1st Dec and 6,7,8 December.
There will an update for future dates

Late notice but the Kiosk is closed today due to the weather forecast (and the actual weather) open again tomorrow

You may have noticed the kiosk is currently closed. Apologies to those that weren't forewarned. If you didn't notice it doesn't matter.
More to the point the kiosk will reopen on Sunday 22nd November for weekends only, NOT INCLUDING Christmas weekend.
Open New Years weekend and the Monday New Year's Day.

Update or not on Trail closures
The tree felling notice was actually put up by Derbyshire County Council not the Peak Park (Trail closed weekdays only from November to end of January/mid February)
However to date no tree felling has started and I have looked on both the County Council website and the Peak Park site and can find no information from either body about when it might actually start.
I will therefore continue to be open on Fridays as well as Saturday and Sunday through the winter
However I will be shut the following weekends
December 9th, 10th 11th (watching a game of rugby)
December 25th, 26th 27th (seeing a funny man in a red suit)

Winter Opening Hours and Trail Closure
The Snack Kiosk is now closed until Friday 18th November and is then reopening Friday, Saturday and Sunday only through the winter period. The Kiosk will also be shut on the 9th 10th and 11th December and the Christmas weekend. The Peak Park are undertaking tree felling (due to Ash Die Back) over the next couple of months this will result in closure of sections of the trail on weekdays. Please see the Peak Park Website for more details (I assume they will provide more information). This may affect my decision to open on Fridays. If I decide not to open hopefully I will remember to update this page in good time.
