⚽ OLDENS v YOUNGENS £1,572.50 RAISED! ❤️

Some questionable decisions across that pitch on Sunday… starting with a few lads thinking they could still last 90 minutes. 😂

Barny refereed with complete impartiality, both the Oldens’ defence AND attack got his full support. Rumour has it VAR stood for “Veterans Always Right”. 🤣

But between the dodgy decisions, missed sitters and hamstrings handing in their notice, we raised a fantastic £1,572.50 for Every Life Matters, the air ambulance and Maryport Boxing Club!

All while remembering Danny, Jud and our friends and family who are no longer on the touchline but will always be part of our team. We can almost hear them: “I’d have bloody scored that!” ❤️

Thank you to everyone who donated, helped and cheered us on. Especially everyone who pulled their boots on again, bet getting out of bed on Monday was your real sporting achievement. 😂

A little change of plan for today, our Emily isn’t feeling too well, so we’re sending her lots of love ❤️

Stepping in at 6pm is our saviour Joe Calabro, armed with a songbook to die for! 🎶

Before that, it’s Oldens v Youngens at 2pm as we come together to remember Danny and Jud. Then it’s back to the pub for raffles, collections and a few good memories.

❤️ A DAY FOR FRIENDSHIP, MEMORIES & COMING TOGETHER
Sunday 27th September

☕ 11am — NAAFI Break
Ex-service members and their families are invited to the Butchers Arms for a complimentary bacon or sausage butty, a brew and a good catch-up. Familiar faces or first time along, everyone needs a bit of company.

⚽ 2pm — Oldens v Youngens, Lidl Pitch
Remembering Jud & Danny with a match they’d have loved…. plenty of banter, questionable tackles and legs that’ll regret it on Monday! Two much-missed lads, remembered through the friendships and laughs they left us. ❤️

🍻 From 4pm, back to the pub
Back together to raise a glass, share the stories and remember the good times.

🎤 6pm — Emily Richardson
Live music to carry us into the evening, with a singalong and good company.

Come for a catch-up, cheer from the sidelines or raise a glass. Let’s turn out for one another and for two lads we’ll never forget. ❤️ let’s raise some cash for Charity

🍺 THIRSTY THURSDAY IS BACK! 🍺

Manchester United take on Sabah FC tonight, a team nobody had heard of until about ten minutes ago. Even Clack’s pretending he’s been following them for years. 😂

Kick-off is 8pm, the pints are cold and Clack will be spending the evening chasing two unlikely results…

A United win and a date night with Trish. 🤣❤️

Madri, Brooklyn, 1664 Blanc or Guinness… plenty of choice while United find a new and exciting way to make hard work of it! 🤣

Come thirsty. Leave hoarse. And if Trish actually agrees to the date, VAR will be checking it, because there’s no chance that decision stands! 🍺🤣📺
